A private hacienda ceremony, guests dining al fresco with views of the Sea of Cortez, and  a first dance beneath the stars – what more do you need for the perfect Mexican destination wedding? 

To celebrate their long-awaited wedding, Calgary couple S & C brought their guests to the elegant Villa Vista Ballena located in Cabo del Sol on the corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. There, under the palm trees of the Cabo del Sol golf course, waves crashing in the distance, the couple exchanged their vows to the delight of all their friends and family. “They’ve been together forever!” a guest told me after the ceremony, “but every time I see them, they look even more happy & in love!”. It was such a pleasure for us to document that love throughout the day.

This wedding was planned by the amazing Leslie Bost at One Happenings, with design by Mishka Designs and flowers by the team at Elena Damy.

During the pre-reception bride and groom session outside the Cabo del Sol villa, Chris noticed the happy couple reflected in a small pond in the gardens.  The view through the water to the pebbles on the dark pond bottom bring a nice texture to the image that contrasts with and frames the silhouette of the bride and groom.
