This California couple celebrated their love in a romantic and elegant tropical wedding that was filled with laughter and tears! And lots of extra sparkle! From the gleam of the sun on the ocean to the bride’s delicate jeweled headpiece to the glitter on the eggs in their Sofreh to the explosion of fireworks over the beach, their wedding day was simply dazzling.
Their Persian destination wedding in Los Cabos, Mexico was held at one of our all-time favorite resorts: Esperanza. We love this Cabo wedding venue for many reasons. Firstly, the resort’s views are incredible - not only expansive views of the Sea of Cortes but also of Cabo’s famous arch. Secondly, the beach is completely private - there is no public access and couples will have it all to themselves and their fellow guests. Finally, the grounds are basically perfect for weddings! There are multiple locations for ceremony locations including the beach for brides who wish to have the sand beneath their feet and several terrace options with beach and ocean views for brides who wish to wear heels for their vows.
Shaliz and Robert had their traditional Persian ceremony in front of the Esperanza pool with the pure blue ocean and sky as their backdrop. We love the emotion and traditions of the Persian Marriage ceremony especially all the symbolism of the Sofreh: the mirror and candelabras representing light and purity, the eggs and nut standing for fertility and strength, and bread to promote feasting and prosperity.
Their reception took place on the terraced balconies overlooking the ocean - definitely a location that will wow your guests at sunset. We loved how they moved the party down to the beach after their speeches. A dance floor was set up over the sand so guests could party with their high heels on, and the rising moon lit the fire dancers as they performed their acrobatics. The night concluded with a set of fireworks lighting up the sky!
Throughout the day, we loved capturing the bride’s beautiful and genuine smile as she took in all the beauty and love around her. She and her husband have that incredible spark that just lights them up with happiness - as well as everyone who is lucky enough to be around them. It was such a joy to document their Cabo San Lucas wedding day!
