This international couple's wedding was everything they are as a couple: beautiful, natural & real. No stress, no fuss, just a peaceful day of love as they celebrated their commitment together at a Slovenian vineyard an hour from the capital Ljubljana.
Mariano is an architect from Mexico City and his wife Romana is a writer, photographer, and digital strategist from Europe. Travel is very important to this global couple - after all they had their first date in a coffee shop in Ljubljana, got engaged in Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, and have visited over a dozen countries together. So it only made sense for them to have two weddings - one in Cabo, Mexico and one in Ljubljana, Slovenia! We were thrilled to document them both!
They chose to have their intimate wedding at a Slovenian castle in a vineyard surrounded by their closest family & friends. Arriving from Slovenia, Serbia, Australia, Mexico, United States and Canada, their guests were treated to everything wonderful about the region - soaring mountain peaks, verdant green vineyards, and great wine & food including traditional honeybread heart-shaped cookies to take home. Even the bride's ensemble was Slovenian, her flowing gown designed by local designer Uros Belantic and her crown made from vines picked fresh in the garden the morning of her wedding.
Since this couple are photographers themselves who truly love design and art, it thrilled us to receive this note from them after they received their photos:
"Chris+Lynn! We love love love the photos. All of them are my favorites! It is very special to us to see how our family and friends enjoyed being with us. Thank you again on following us on our wedding adventures this year, and for photographing both our weddings...We’re so grateful, we can’t even express how much!"
You're welcome amigos, it was truly our pleasure!
